This Impact Report showcases Kolektivo’s innovative journey and how we are building real impact on Curaçao and beyond by leveraging new technologies for ecological regeneration and community empowerment.

Community change is impossible when individuals lack the resources, skills and emotional intelligence needed to be able to empathize, understand and lead others (and themselves).
Kolektivo supports projects that prepare and provide young people with the soft skills, self-reflection and emotional intelligence needed to thrive in the 21st century and beyond.

Kolektivo means collective. Without an equal access to outcome, resources and civic engagement, societal outcomes tend to be unstable. Kolektivo wants to support and/or create projects that reduce these inherent social system outcomes, increase civic engagement and community resilience through the experimentation with new forms of organizing, cooperation and governance on a local and international level.

Kolektivo aims to create a healthy ecosystem and natural environment in Curaçao. We support projects that target real on the ground issues like climate change, food security, pollution, littering and projects that improve our local flora, fauna and fisheries.

Kolektivo stimulates projects that create and implement new technologies, empower social entrepreneurs and innovate existing systems to be more circular, sustainable and positively impactful to apply for our grants. Whether that’s in the field of technology, entrepreneurship or innovation.

Expression and art are powerful ways to bring communities together. At the same time it also gives people the ability to live out their passion while earning a living wage. Whether it’s visual, audio, written, digital or physical, Kolektivo supports projects that combine the traditional and the innovative, the old and the new. Kolektivo contributes to the Orange Economy by supporting experimental high-potential art projects.

Kolektivo supports local impact projects with grant funding, extra resource, support and advise. Grantees are guided by Impact Stewards to help streamline their projects and measure their impact.
Over 40+ grants have been issued over the past two years to support development on the ground. We are currently preparing for our next grant wave in Q1 of 2023 and are still looking for partners to supercharge our impact.
